Zander grew up with a lot of freedom that allowed him to explore the outdoors and now loves going on adventures with mates and his family but also solo.
“I love solo adventuring, it forces you to be self reliant, hone your skills and it's refreshing to totally run your own show from time to time. Weirdly I rarely get lonely”

Ilias Matane lives in South Australia and works as a Network Controller - moving the big trains across the Nullarbor!
Ilias grew up surrounded by fishing with a very keen fisho as a dad but never really took to it, finding his own love for the outdoors with archery.
“Eventually, I found a knack for archery, and then bow hunting and bow fishing, and suddenly all the drive Dad had for being outside suddenly made sense to me”
Getting to share his love for the outdoors with his own kids is a massive win.
Greatest outdoors memory: “My favorite memory is from my first ever hunt. Before I became a hunter I was actually a vegan. I lived and breathed it... However, by chance I became friends with a gentleman who had been hunting since he was a child, through the course of our friendship he never judged me for my vegan views but always offered me different perspectives of the value of life.
Eventually, he convinced me to come out hunting and after a very successful day he insisted I learn how to process our harvest. As a newly recovering vegan I was really unsure about how I would feel about taking a knife to an animal, but after that first cut, I felt like I'd been reborn, I felt like this was what I was meant to do with my life... I never looked back, and life has been great ever since. “
Most important gear: “In all honesty, I don't go out to the bush without a couple of cheeky milky bars. After many long miles and the success rate I have as a traditional bow hunter they are the morale boost that I often need haha!”
Preferred brewing method: Espresso Machine

Joshua Ferguson lives in New Zealand and works as a Diesel Mechanic.
Growing up with no TV meant that Josh spent most of his time outdoors building huts, fishing and hunting small game.
Josh now gets to share his love of the outdoors with his family showing his girls the process of gathering food from the land and sea.
Greatest outdoors memory: “Just knowing how insignificant you are to the mercy of Mother Nature. The wilderness always holds an element of risk away from the comforts of society which is what makes it addictive.”
Most important gear: “A clear mind. Adventure for me is leaving the business and stresses of life behind. Focus on the moment you have with your whanau and be present. If I’m hunting alone I’ll reflect on myself and just enjoy the privilege of being able to get outdoors."
Preferred brewing method: Espresso Machine

Roxy McKinnon lives in NSW and works as a Project Engineer to fund her adventurous life!
Growing up rurally, Roxy spent her childhood camping, fishing and riding dirt bikes but moved away from the outdoors lifestyle as a young adult for work.
“I drifted away from the outdoors and into the city. Work and study and friends kept me there. It was not until my late twenties that I started activity pursuing outdoor adventures again. My dad gave me the hunting bug and so I’ve made that part of my life a priority now!"
Greatest outdoors memory: “My first successful public land hunt (and first successful solo hunt).
I decided it would be a great idea to head out to a state forest for a hunt. Something I’d only done once before. I made my booking, bought a $50 swag and off I went. Forecast showed a bit of rain but I figured this was good for keeping me quiet on the crunchy ground. First afternoon was a great scouting mission. I found plenty of fresh sign, checked out the terrain, little clearings etc. It had been chilly in the mornings so I worked out where would be a nice sunny and warm spot first thing in the morning.
Back to the camp area, and a massive bloody storm came through. Terrified of being alone and getting rattled by thunder and rain I hunkered down in my cruddy leaking swag and wished I wasn’t such a damn fool. Fighting down the urge to pack it in I laid there and told myself I was not going to waste this opportunity. With only a wink of sleep I rolled out of bed before light and started to make my way to the spot I’d chosen the afternoon before. I was nice and settled in as the haze of dawn appeared behind the pines. I took a deep breath and decided I was so glad I stayed.
Just through the clearing I’d scoped, I saw the unmistakable head bob and gait of deer. She was moving with determination to bed in for the day. I got her between my crosshairs, steadied myself, and squeezed. 120 yards straight through the ticker. With heart thundering in the stillness that always follows, I was so grateful I stayed."
Most important gear: “I’m a sucker for knives. I always end up packing more than I need, but I bet I'm not alone in that one!”
Preferred brewing method: Slow Drip Coffee Nerdery

Jack & Emily live in QLD and work as an Electrician & Practice Manager but ultimately want to make travel their full time gig.
Jack grew up doing adventure sports like motorbike riding and snowboarding and naturally gravitated to the outdoors. With Emily, the couple have spent many weekends camping and most recently completed a 6 month lap around Aus.
Greatest outdoors memory: “We have so many amazing memories from our lap of Australia. From swimming with the whale sharks in Exmouth to flying over the Bungle Bungles in the Kimberleys we were spoilt with amazing wildlife encounters and magical landscapes and just thinking about it gives us itchy feet to go exploring!”
Most important gear: “Our recovery kit. We like to get off the beaten track with our 4WD and explore places less people get to which means sometimes we find ourselves in some trouble so we heavily rely on having a winch, recovery straps, tyre deflator, air compressor, etc to make sure we can get through any of the sticky situations we get ourselves into!”
Preferred brewing method: Espresso Machine

Most important gear: "BIC lighter with duct tape wrapped around it. Super cheap, small, many uses!"
